Downtown Green Bay Transitions to BannerSaver™

Situation

The Downtown District of Green Bay, WI manages 160 light poles with banners that are changed out seasonally. After only six years of using static banner brackets, the system began to fail. The brackets became loose, fell out, and caused banners to flap in the wind—creating safety concerns and frequent maintenance issues for the Department of Public Works.

With their region experiencing strong and consistent winds, the district needed a durable, long-lasting bracket system. They also wanted the security of a strong warranty to ensure the investment would hold up over time.

The district first discovered BannerSaver™ through the International Downtown Association (IDA) and saw the brackets demonstrated at an IDA Conference in Chicago. A video showing the product’s ability to withstand high winds immediately caught their attention.

Solution

After evaluating multiple options, the district chose to switch to the patented BannerSaver™ system. Our team supported them with a sample package for hands-on testing, making it easy for the Public Works team to experience the quality firsthand.

The BannerSaver™ brackets provided a wind-tested solution specifically designed to reduce failures, while the industry-leading warranty gave the district peace of mind. Installation feedback from the Public Works team noted the brackets were sturdy and well-constructed, easy to work with, and designed to outperform the old system.

Impact

Since installation, the results have been immediately clear:

✓ zero bracket failures

✓ No ongoing fixes required, saving time and resources

✓ Total confidence in banner safety and stability

By partnering with BannerSaver™, the Downtown District successfully eliminated the frustrations of failing brackets, reduced maintenance demands, and ensured a reliable, long-term solution for their seasonal banner program.
