Situation

As a recent graduate and newly hired Marketing & Media Relations Coordinator, Collin Malone was looking for a way to make an impact on Alabama A&M's campus and create a sense of community for students, staff, and alumni. Drawing experience from his time on campus, Malone developed a multi-year plan to engage students, boost school spirit, and revamp the university's brand image. As the first phase of this initiative, his vision was to implement pole banners and banner bracket hardware throughout campus, flying the university's logos in maroon and white as a symbol of student unity and pride.

Solution

Not just any pole banner system was fit for the job, however. The intense Alabama sun would quickly fade ordinary banners, while frequent storms would easily snap any banner bracket hardware that wasn't made with high quality, durable materials or equipped with the proper banding. Luckily, BannerSaver is a solution that meets and exceeds each of these needs. With heavyweight, fade-resistant, vinyl banners meant to hold up years against the conditions, and spring-loaded brackets built to spill winds up to 90 mph, BannerSaver was obviously the best option for the project.

Our BannerSaver team worked closely with Malone and his team to design, fabricate, and install the massive network of pole banners. Well within the deadline, there were brand new banners flying high around the entire campus, standing as a symbol to the community's shared experience as AAMU students.

Impact

With the first phase of Malone's project completed, the impact was immediately apparent. The bold, vibrant banners hung high among the students, staff, alumni, and visitors, creating a unified sense of place and further cementing Alabama A&M's brand image into the campus grounds.

After partnering with Malone through his first project as a staff member of AAMU, He was astounded with the overwhelming amount of positive feedback, remarking that "The outpour from our students, faculty, and staff has been marvelous". Our team was extremely happy to see the fruits of our combined efforts, and we were delighted to have helped in making an impact on a student community. Go Bulldogs!
